Equipment
Nito Kendo is best known for its use of two swords. In regards to equipment : the armour and clothing worn, is identical to regular Kendo.
The two swords however are different from regular sizings of shinai.

It is quite easy to get hold of nito shinai "premade" from online Budo equipment suppliers.
There are still people who build their shinai from scratch using regular size shinai.
I have used a size 39 shinai to create my first long Nito shinai, and bought the shortsword online. The balance seems front (tip) heavy.
I have subsequently bought a size 37, but it feels too small in both grip and girth.
I would suggest that if someone was to take up nito, they first try with a 37, and if they do not like it, then try making your own. (please see sub page on left to see how to make your shinai).
